Ceres is a dwarf planet located in the asteroid belt. It serves as a trading post and was home to one of the three primary helium-3 stockpiles of The Society.[1]

Pre-Saga[]
Ceres was colonized by The Society sometime before 738 PCE as a joint venture with Saturn's moon Enceledas, with the moon and dwarf planet sharing an Institute campus for their Gold children to attend.[2]
Solar War[]
At some point after The Rising, Ceres became part of the Solar Republic. A battle took place there during the Solar war sometime before 751 PCE.[3]
After Earth was reconquered by the Society Remnant in March 754, Diomedes au Raa led a detachment of Rim troops and recaptured Ceres from the Republic at some point before October of that year.[4]
In December 754, Virginia Augustus ordered a Republic assault on Ceres led by Praetor Ciarti Inawarm to draw Society attention so that Darrow could evade detection on his voyage to Tabula Rasa in the asteroid belt.[5]
