Dwarf Planets are celestial objects in the solar system that are large enough to become rounded by gravity, but lack the sufficient mass for their gravitational pull to keep their orbital path clear of objects of similar size other than their own satelites.
There at least ten dwarf planets in the solar system, most of which are found in either the asteroid belt or the Kuiper belt. In the Post-Conquering Era, at least five of them have been colonized.

Pre-Saga[]
In the centuries following the Dark Revolt, the Ascomanni colonized Eris, Haumea, and Makemake as they fled into the Kuiper Belt.[1]
Sometime before the 8th Century PCE, Ceres and Pluto were colonized by The Society. After The Rising, Ceres fell under the control of the Solar Republic by 751 PCE,[2] while Pluto fell under the control of the Rim Dominion.
