Calliope is a Pink servant of House Augustus during The Rising.
Appearance[]
Calliope is described as being a girl not much older than Eo was, with pink-quartz eyes and purple-silvery hair that hangs in braids down to her lower back. Her tongue was removed by The Jackal as punishment for a failed assassination attempt against one of his Boneriders.

Morning Star[]
Eight months before the beginning of the novel, Calliope attempted to assassinate one of the Boneriders at a Pearl Club in Agea. As punishment for her attempt, Adrius au Augustus personally cut out her tongue.[1]
Calliope is present in an adjacent sitting room when Darrow O'Lykos is removed from The Jackal's table in Attica to be handed over to Cassius and Aja for transport to Luna. When Cassius and Aja criticize Adrius's methods in dealing with the lowColor rebellion, he signals for Calliope to enter the room and shows off her lack of tongue. To prove his point about the efficacy of his tactics, Adrius dares Calliope to shoot him in the head right then and there. When she is unable to do so, Adrius comforts her.
