Planetary-Based Cuisine[]

Mercurian Cuisine[]

  • Soletto - a Mercurian alcoholic beverage.[1]
  • Spiced-clove wine - brewed in Keryx.[2]
  • Cactus brandy - brewed in Polybos.[2]
  • Fennel Sausages[3]
  • Pecans - typically served either candied or coated in chocolate.[1][3]
  • Sunflower butter (a.k.a. Sun Butter) - a type of butter presumably made on Mercury.[4]

Venusian Cuisine[]

  • Venusian Fury Cocktail - A drink developed during the Solar War, named in honor of Atalantia au Grimmus. It reportedly tastes of licorice and salt, and is made using rum, stout, and squid ink.[5][6]
  • Oysters - Venusian crustaceans are said to be the best.[7]
  • Venusian Atolls - a type of wine.[8]

Lunese Cuisine[]

  • Doughy Cinnamon Noodles - sold at a stand on the edge of the wharf at the edge of the Sea of Serenity.[9]
  • Iced Frizee - a dish typically served as a desert.[1]

Terran Cuisine[]

European[]

  • Lagavulin 16 - The favorite whiskey of Lorn au Arcos.[10]
  • Sottocenere - A Cheese from the Italian Penisula. It contains licorice, nutmeg, coriander, cloves, cinnamon & fennel.[11]
  • European Gruyere Cheese - a hard cheese originating from Switzerland.[12]
  • Bordeaux - a type of wine from France.[1]
  • Azerole - a hawthorn fruit from the Mediterranean.[13]
  • Medlar - a type of fruit from western Eurasia.

South American[]

  • South American Prosciutto - an an uncooked, unsmoked, and dry-cured ham.[12]

Pacific[]

  • Pacific Sweet Fried Cod - made with a bottom-dwelling fish from the northern pacific ocean.[12]
  • Arrack - a strong liquor found in Southeast Asia, distilled from fermented palm sap, rice, or molasses.[14][15]

Martian Cuisine[]

Martian Cuisine is themed around cumin, cloves, and curries.[12]

  • Spiced Thesslonican Wine - distilled in the region surrounding Thessalonica on the continent of Apollonia.[16]
  • Elysian Red Wine - A red wine from the island of Elysium.[1]
  • Ragnar's Vast Hunger - an ice cream desert, slathered with fudge, peanut butter, walnuts, cherries and bananas. Exclusively available at a civilian restaurant at Skyresh Interplanetary Spaceport on Phobos during the Solar War.[17]

Rim Cuisine[]

  • Steamed Trout - has the consistency of wet cardboard and the flavor of old cashews.[18]
  • Plum Liquor - distilled in Demeter's Garter on Io.[18]

Cuisine in Red Culture is defined by food rations given in the mines, and whatever other little wildlife that can be found.

  • Pitviper Blood Soup - Popular in lowRed mines on Mars during Yuletide, often served with Flaxbread and Okrablossom.[19]
  • Fried Pitviper Eggs - popular in Red mines.[12]

Obsidian Cuisine[]

Cuisine in Obsidian Culture is themed around Old Norse Culture, and what little wildlife is found on the Ice.

  • Azag - Berry liquor, colored purple.[20]
  • Grog - A type of alcohol.[20]
  • Atuka - A dish made of berries mixed with the blubber of an Ice Drake.[20]
  • Spirit Berries - Hallucinogenic nuts that grow on Mars' south pole. Similar in appearance to Walnuts.[21]
  • Ice Drake Meat - Taken from around the spine, where the most flavorful meat is.[20]
  • Ice Drake Brains - Eaten raw in order to preserve the vitamin C.[20]
  • Ice Drake Liver - Eaten raw in order to preserve the vitamin C.[20]

Gold Cuisine[]

  • Hummingbird Tongues - A popular and expensive delicacy among Golds.[22][15]
  • Snails - a prized delicacy.[15]
  • Raw Oysters - served as an appetizers[1]
  • Sow's Udders - steamed in wine and served as an appetizer.[23]
  • Jucellum - an appetizer, presumably a fruit.[1]
  • Stuffed thrush - eaten as a main course.[1]
  • Stuffed Pachelbel - eaten as a main course.[1]
  • Tactun - a dish served as a second course.[1]
  • White Pudding - served as a second course.[1]

Miscellaneous Cuisine[]

  • Jasmine Ice-Cream

Trivia[]

  • Lagavulin 16 also happens to be Pierce Brown's favorite whiskey.
