A Frysuit is a thoroughly insulated protective suit worn by lowRed miners in the subterranean helium mines on Mars.
Description[]
Frysuits are made from multiple layers of nanoplastic to protect the wearer against the extreme heat of their team's clawDrill and other elemental hazards.
The suit insulates the wearer from head to toe, preventing any hazards from getting in or out. The drawback is that this keeps the wearer's own body heat trapped in the suite with them, along with sweat and other bodily fluids such as urine, making the interior of the suit extremely hot and smelly.[1] Many lowReds traditionally wear sweatbands to keep the sweat from their forehead from dripping into their eyes, as the frysuit's faceplate cannot be removed to let them wipe the sweat up themselves.[1]
To keep the wearer hydrated, the suit is equipped with a drinktube that connects to the head on the suit so that the wearer can take in water.[1]
Despite its protection from the elements, a frysuit is easily pierced or cut by a sharp object such as a slingBlade or pitviper fangs.
