- Alltribe - A pan-tribal Obsidian nation founded during the events of the Iron Gold era.
- Apollonia - The continent on Mars where Agea is located
- ArchImperator - Supreme commander of a naval force
- ArchGovernor - Ruler of a terrestrial planet or gas giant moon.
- ArchLancer - Highest ranking Lancer in a household.
- ArchLegate - A Legate in command of multiple legions.
- ArchPrimus - Primus of the winning schoolHouse at The Institute.
- Artificer - An Orange specializing in armor forging and weapons development.
- Ascomanni - The descendants of Obsidians who fled into the Kuiper Belt after the end of the Dark Revolt.

- BioSilk -A material that is harvested by the female lowReds. It is made from the silk produced by genetically modified organisms called Spiderworms.
- Bladeweaver - An Artificer assigned to the construction of razors.
- Board of Quality Control - The government organization responsible for enforcing the hierarchy and maintaining The Society's eugenics programs
- Bonerider - Follower of Adrius au Augustus

- Cimmeria - The continent on Mars where the Olympus Mons is located.
- ClawDrill - a hand-like drill built to burrow through rock
- Compact - The constitution of The Society.
- Corvette - mixed-use scouting ship
- CosmosHauler - commercial cargo ship
- The Covenant - Treaty between the Republic, the Rim, the Alltribe, and the Daughters of Athena

- Daggershadow - Someone who is put into a position of honor and trust, likely the person standing alongside another during his/her Triumph.
- Dark Revolt - A failed Obsidian rebellion against Gold that occurred in 200 PCE.
- DataFile - An account that contains a person's personal information, such as their financial situation.
- Daughters of Athena - lowColor resistance group operating in the Rim.
- Deepgrave - A mobile undersea prison on Earth.
- Destoryer - mid-tier warship.
- DuroGlass - Material that makes up windows and even floors of shuttles. It appears to be able to be controlled with a datapad, presumably through usage of embedded circuitry, so that an apparent window can suddenly open up to become a door.
- DuroSteel - A durable material used to construct star ships and fortifications that are extremelt difficult to pierce without specialized weapons or hours of continuous work.
- Drachenjäger - Multi-limbed combat mech built by the Solar Republic.
- Dragoon - Nickname for soldiers of Legio XIII Dracones
- Dreadnought - A battleship designed to take and hold continents.
- Dux - right hand of a household Primus.

- Eidmi - A bioweapon designed to target a single color without risk of infecting others.
- Erebos - A city on Mercury
- Endymion - A city on Luna

- FarOrbit - presumably when a planet or moon is at its farthest orbital position relative to that of a ship or another sphere.
- Figment - one of several prototype psyches developed by Agala si Ken, and the moniker of its most recent host during the Solar War.
- FlakScreen - A defensive mechanism often deployed by ships in firefights, used to stop incoming missiles, leechCraft, and other projectiles. When engaging a flakScreen, a ship shoots out large quantities of small projectiles, made to collide with anything headed towards the defending ship.
- Free Legions - The primary offensive legions of the Solar Republic.
- Freelancer - A mercenary
- Frumentarius - A special forces spy
- Frysuit - Protective suit worn to shield against extreme heat.

- GhostCloak - A type of device and/or armor that grants invisibility. It is a potent combination when used with gravBoots, however, trails will still be left in snow. Though expensive, an entire ship can be fitted with ghostCloak technology, rendering it invisible.
- Gorgon - Agent of Legio Zero Pavor Nocturnus
- Governor - Ruler of a city
- Grower - An agricultural development specialist.

- Haemanthus - a flower grown on Mars.
- Heliopolis - a city on Mercury and seat of House Votum.
- Helium-3 - The primary source of energy for all advanced technology in the solar system, mined on Mars and the gas giants.
- Helldiver - Reds who operate clawDrills
- Hellmouth - A corridor of protective fire on a battlefield.[1]
- HighColors - the upper tier castes of the hierarchy, consisting of Gold, Silver, White, and Copper.
- HoloNet - Interplanetary communication network. The internet.
- Holopresence - when someone or something is present at an event via live hologram transmission instead of being there in-person.
- Howler - A band of misfits in Darrow's year at The Institute.
- Hyperion - capital city of Luna.

- Imperator - Commanding officer of a fleet.
- Imperium - absolute command over a military force or regional government.
- The Institute - school where young Golds are taught to survive, lead, and conquer.

- LeechCraft - Spacecraft built to board enemy vessels.
- Legate - Commanding officer of a Legion.
- Legion - Standard army division.
- Lionguard - Personal bodyguard force of House Augustus
- Lovelock Engine - Terraforming machine used to manipulate a planet's tectonic plates.
- LowColors - the lower tier castes of the hierarchy, consisting of Brown, Obsidian, Pink, and Red.
- LowRed - Reds who labor in mines to harvest the resources needed to fuel the terraforming process.

- Master Maker - A high class of Orange specializing in multiple disciplines of engineering.
- MidColors - the middle tiers of the color hierarchy, consisting of Blue, Yellow, Green, Violet, Orange, and Gray.
- MoonBreaker - The largest class of warship in the solar system.
- MoonHall - The highest court of the Solar Republic judiciary.
- Moon Lords - The ruling Golds of the gas giants.

- Nanoplastic - A protective material with a very high melting point. It seems like it can be dyed different colors.
