House Carthii

House Carthii is a major Gold Venusian household. They are famous for building and operating the Venus Dockyards that serve as one of the two most important ship-building facilities in the solar system. They are rivals with House Saud, and are one of the two most powerful Gold families on Venus.

House Carthii is noted to be a large family, with their current Primus Asmodeus au Carthii being well over a hundred years old during the Solar War and still having more children to replace those that he has lost. As a result, the competition among his offspring for the position of heir to House Carthii is expansive and often fatal.

Involvement

Pre-Saga

House Carthii lived on Luna prior to the terraforming of Venus. Once the surface was made habitable, they were the first colonists to move to the surface.

They built the Columns of Venus, were the first to sail the gaps between the Inner and Outer rims, and mined the Helsa Cluster.

Golden Son

Gaius au Carthus fights against the forces of House Augustus during the Lion's Rain on Mars. He participated in an ambush of Darrow au Andromedus' squadron inside the walls of Agea, and was disgusted when he saw Darrow give a razor to his Obsidian companion Ragnar Volarus. Gaius recites his family's achievements, only for Darrow to order Ragnar to kill Gaius for his gravBoots. Ragnar defeats Gaius in combat, and offers to spare him if he yields. Gaius refuses to yield, and is killed.

During the Solar War, House Carthii becomes Atalantia au Grimmus' closest allies
