House Julii is a Martian house of Gold traders and slavers. They own many asteroids in the belt and are regarded by the rest of Society as a symbol of extravagant wealth.
Julii Industries controls a sizable portion of shipping to and from Mars, with many Martian exports being shipped to the Rim or the Core aboard Julii-owned vessels along trade routes owned and controlled by House Julii.
Over the centuries, House Julii acquired a reputation for nastiness and treachery, siding with whichever faction can give them the greatest profits, and changing allegiance when an alliance is no longer profitable.

Death of a Julii[]
When the blood of a family member is spilled due to another's debt, it is customary for that person to swim away from the shore, towards the sun. After the sun has set, that person may look back to see if a light/bonfire has been set for them to follow back to shore. It no such light is there, the person swims on. Even if there is a light, the person may choose not to return.
Victra au Barca did this when her and Sevro's son Ulysses was killed by Harmony, as Harmony blamed House Julii for her husband and son's deaths. Electra au Barca, Pax Augustus, Lyria of Lagalos, and Volga Fjorgan build a bonfire for Victra to return to, which she did six hours later. [1]
