Iro is a Red born in the Martian mining colony of Lykos. He is the son of Kieran and Kora and the twin brother of Reagan.

Iro moved to Tinos with his family when the people of Lykos were evacuated by the Howlers after Darrow was captured at his Triumph. When Darrow is rescued and reunited with his family, Kieran calls Iro and the other children over to meet their uncle.[1]
