Ovidius au Lune was a Gold of House Lune and the father of Octavia au Lune. He was the former Sovereign of the Society before his daughter overthrew him in 681 PCE.

Pre-Saga[]
At some point in the mid 7th-century PCE, Ovidius became a father with the birth of his daughter Octavia. During her childhood he hosted numerous galas on Luna.[1]
He was once bitten in the face by a Venusian manticore at his birthday gala and didn't flinch even as the creature took a chunk out of his cheek. He bit the manticore back, threw it to its handler, and ordered more champagne. Gaia au Raa witnessed the incident and considered Ovidius a terrifying man as a result.[1]
In 656 PCE, Ovidius chose not to intervene when House Augustus of Mars went to war against House Bellona and House Cylus.[2] When the war ended and the rest of House Augustus was executed, Ovidius ordered young Nero to be spared so that a bloodline that partook in the Conquering would not be extinguished.[3]
Twenty years later, Ovidius's daughter Octavia convinced her father to give Nero the throne of Mars and his revenge against House Cylus. Ovidius told Lorn au Arcos and another Olympic Knight that Cylus was a threat to the Society, and that the entire House was to be wiped out and stricken from record.[2]
In 681 PCE, Ovidius was overthrown and killed by his daughter, after which she presented his head to the Senate.
