Paxton is a Gray from Mars employed by House Julii as a Sol Guard.
Appearance[]
Like all Grays, Paxton has gray hair and eyes. He has a crooked smile, and weighs approximately a hundred kilograms.[1]

Paxton thinks disdainfully of the Vox Populi, thinking them wastes of carbon.[1]

Pre-Saga[]
Paxton was born on Mars in either 733 or 734 PCE, to unnamed Grays employed by House Julii.
Victra au Julii personally gave him a present for every birthday of his life, including a rifle on his seventeenth birthday.
He became a Sol Guard for House Barca in either 750 or 751 PCE.[1]
Dark Age[]
Paxton is stationed aboard the Pandora as Victra moves her household from Luna back to Mars following the kidnapping of her daughter Electra.
In late January 754 PCE, Paxton is one of the Sol Guards overseeing Lyria of Laglos as they escort her to the transports that will conduct the Alltribe's hostage exchange for Electra. He and Lyria share a small conversation, in which he expresses his disdain for her and the Vox Populi, before leaving her to shower.[1]
When Lyria summons Figment is soon summoned into the shower block after seven Kuiper Ascomanni invade the ship, Figment calls Paxton and the other Sol Guards for backup. The Ascomanni begin to attack, while the Pandora's gravity generators and lights begin to fail. Paxton's arm is pinned to a wall by a spear, and the smallest of the Ascomanni clings to him and eats through his throat.[2]

Paxton is fiercly loyal to House Julii due to the loyalty they've shown him and his family. Victra has given him a birthday present for every birthday he's had, including a rifle on his seventeenth. Meanwhile, her mother, Agrippina au Julii, paid for his father's house on the edge of the Thermic Sea, as well as his mother's burial after forty years of service.[1]

As a result of his loyalty to Victra, Paxton holds a grudge against Lyria for her role in 'helping' Ephraim ti Horn abduct Pax and Electra, and assumes her to be a member of the Vox Populi.[1]
