Proctor Mercury was an unnamed Gold man who was the Proctor of House Mercury at The Institute of Mars between 737 and 738 PCE.

Proctor Mercury was a Peerless Scarred, and is described as cherub-faced, pudgy, and quick-witted.

Red Rising[]
Proctor took a liking to Darrow au Andromedus during the interview phase of the Institute. He attempted to draft Darrow into his house, but was overruled by his drafters. During the taking of Olympus, he attempted to duel Darrow, however Darrow stunned him with his pulseFist instead.
Morning Star[]
At some point between 738 and 743 PCE, Proctor Mercury left his position at The Institute and accepted a job from the Board of Quality Control monitoring the Obsidian population of Mars's south pole from Asgard station, where he played the role of Loki when Obsidians came to meet with their gods.
He was executed by Sefi the Quiet during the Fall of Asgard.
