Prospera was assigned to give Fitchner au Barca a tour of the Jovian moons when he visited Ganymede as part of Regulus ag Sun's efforts to acquire her mother's company, Ag-Regate Industries.
While showing Fitchner the sufur dunes of Io, he revealed that her mother had asked him to kill her. Prospera was shocked, and denied that her mother would do this. She attempted to cry for help, only to be told that her guards wouldn't hear or see them from where they were.
Instead of killing her, however, Fitchner used Haemanthus oil and a hypnotic trigger to render Prospera unconscious and make her appear to be dead. He presented Prospera's body to her mother. After Hecuba gave Fitchner information on why Quicksilver was so interested in her company, she began discussing the disposal of her daughter's body, referred to her as a "useless little trollop." Upon hearing this, Prospera reached out of the coffin and attacked her mother, calling out how Hecuba for trying to kill her simply because she failed at The Institute. Prospera grabbed a gun hidden in the coffin and shot her mother, while Hecuba cut Prospera's throat with her razor. The two women bled to death as Fitchner quietly left the room.
