The Siege of Olympia was one of the first major battles on Mars during the Solar War.
Background[]
Following the Battle of Luna, the Ash Lord, Magnus au Grimmus, began concentrating his forces on securing control of Mars.
Prior to Apollonius au Valii-Rath's capture in 747 PCE, Society Remnant forces led by himself and Atlas au Raa laid siege to the city of Olympia, where Sefi was leading the Obsidian migration from the poles of Mars.
Battle[]
During the siege, Valdir the Unshorn dueled Apollonius and became one of the only humans other than Darrow to survive a duel with the Minotaur of Mars.
During the siege, a Republic soldier named Daedre infiltrated Atlas' camp on the outskirts of Olympia. Preying on Atlas' prejudices, she presented herself as a harmless, unintelligent civilian who kindly brought the Society forces figs and bread every day for a week.
At the end of the week, her figs were laced with a nerve agent that killed a hundred and four of Atlas' soldiers.
Near the end of the siege, Apollonius held his ground against Sefi's forces until Darrow arrived with the Solar Republic's Seventh and Fifteenth Legions,[1][2] driving the Minotaur out of Olympia and forcing him to retreat.
The battle left Olympia in ruins, and afterwards the city was given to the Obsidian diaspora for resettlement.
