The Sword Armada is the primary offensive fleet of The Society navy, second in power only to the Scepter Armada.

The Sword Armada was one of two armadas of the Society under the direct authority of The Sovereign. It was established sometime prior to 739 PCE,[1] and was destroyed in August 743 at the Battle of Ilium.
From March 742 until its destruction, the Armada was under the command of Imperator Roque au Fabii of Mars after the end of the Martian Civil War, and served as the Society's primary forces in the Second Moon Lord Rebellion.
The soldiers and crew members of the Sword Armada number at over two million, with over 10,000 Obsidians, 200,000 Grays, and 3,000 Golds.[2]

Pre-Saga[]
The Sword Armada is reported to have been used to pressure The Rim into staying with the rest of Society following the end of the First Moon Lord Rebellion in 701. Being that it is larger than any fleet that the Rim could conjure, they largely complied until the murders of archGovernor Revus au Raa of Io and his granddaughter Thesalia at the Triumph Massacre in March 742 gave them justification to rebel again.
Morning Star[]
The Sword Armada was deployed to Ilium under the command of Roque au Fabii immediately after the declaration of the Second Moon Lord Rebellion, reaching Jupiter in May of 742,[3] where Roque hijacked the moonBreaker Colossus from the Ganymede Dockyards as his personal flagship. Under Roque's command, the Sword Armada claimed victory after victory over the next year, destroying many ships of the Rim fleet over the course of the war.[4]
In June 743, Antonia au Severus-Julii was dispatched to reinforce the Sword Armada with the Fifth and Sixth Legions,[5] and her desertion directly led to the Armada's loss at the Battle of Ilium in August, resulting in the Sword Armada being shattered by the combined forces of the Rim and The Rising. More than half of the Sword Armada was destroyed, and a quarter were captured by the Rising, while the remaining survivors fled toward the Core.[6] Roque's flagship was captured by Darrow and renamed the Morning Star as his own flagship.[7]
