Theron was influential in certain commodities markets that Quicksilver is interested in, so Fitchner au Barca was sent to assassinate him.
Fitchner approached Theron at the opera in Agea to provoke the man into challenging him to a duel. In the restroom, Fitchner pretended to be drunk and urinated on Theron's clothes and shoes. This angers the man enough to demand a duel the following morning at dawn in Hadrian Park. When they are interrupted by Arturius au Vardan, Theron storms out of the restroom.
Before their duel, Theron does his research on Fitchner before taking an aircar to Hadrian Park. Theron and Fitchner begin their duel, and Theron initially gains the upper hand before kicking Fitchner to the ground and cutting the back of his hand. However, Fitchner manages to surprise Theron and stab him in the throat before cutting off his head.[1]
