Vindabona

The Vindabona is an Auroch-Z cosmosHauler used as a smuggling ship during the Solar War.

Description

The ship is a giant cube five hundred meter long at the edge. Most of its decks are intentionally exposed to the vacuum of space, while a lattice superstructure holds together thousands of cargo containers.

History

Pre-Saga

The Vindabona was built by the Venus Dockyards in 520 PCE as part of the 4th generation of the Auroch-Z line of cosmosHaulers.

Solar War

After the Fall, the ship was acquired by a group of smugglers operating in the asteroid belt using false Julii-Barca Solar markings to deflect suspicion.

Iron Gold

In September 753 PCE, Seraphina au Raa boarded the Vindabona on Pysche and paid the captain to deliver her to Asteroid S-1392. En route to her destination, the helmsman Therix became drunk and fell asleep at the helm. While their helmsman was incapacitated, the ship was boarded by Ascomanni, who killed many of the crew and imprisoned the rest, along with Seraphina.

Lysander au Lune and Cassius au Bellona answered the Vindabona's distress call and boarded the ship to investigate. They managed to rescue Seraphina and a handful of lowColor crewmembers before their presence was discovered and Ascomanni reinforcements approached the ship, forcing them to flee.
