Zanzibar is a Violet from Earth and one of the most well-known Carvers of his age, residing and working at his laboratory in the Himalayas. Many Golds consider him to be the best at his craft, though some consider him more focused on what's fashionable.[1]

Golden Son[]
Zanzibar remakes and reattaches Cassius au Bellona's arm after it was cut off by Darrow during The Gala Massacre.[2]
When showing Darrow her Oracles, Octavia au Lune explains that the creatures were created by Zanzibar especially for her.[3]
Morning Star[]
Aja au Grimmus mentions when Adrius is releasing Darrow to her and Cassius's custody that Zanzibar is curious to discover how Darrow was carved from a Red into a Gold, and that while the man has his theories, he is chomping at the bit to examine Darrow for himself.[2]
Dark Age[]
After The Fall, Lilath au Faran made her way to Earth and found Zanzibar. She then commissioned him to create a clone of Adrius as part of the Jackal's pre-planned contingency, using her own womb to grow the clone once he was created.[4]
